All articles submitted to JIAR are checked for plagiarism and duplicate content, and only unique content is published. Manuscripts that have been found to include plagiarism or duplication would not be considered for publishing in a JIAR journal. It is a requirement that all submissions contain previously unpublished content. "Original terminology derived directly from publications by other researchers should include in quotations with the relevant citations," according to COPE rules. This criterion also applies to an author's own work.
